Quality of Life of Parents of Adolescents with Acne: A Cross-Sectional Study

Objective: Skin diseases affect both a patient's life and the lives of their relatives in plethora ways. Although there are several studies on effects acne quality (QoL), QoL parents with adolescents who have scarce. In this study, we aim to assess effect vulgaris parents' determine how varies according severity scores children. Material Methods: Our study included 162 patients at 12-18 years age parents. The Acne Quality Life Scale (AQoL) was used life. Dermatological Family Impact (DeFIS) evaluate caregiver's QoL. Besides DeFIS, semi-structured questionnaire also administered caregiver. Results: Of participated our 62% expressed sorrow anxiety about children's acne. DeFIS were found be 11.86±8.98 (0-41). There no correlation between severity, however statistically significant AQOL scores. parents, 43% concern side treatments increased concerns. Conclusions: findings show that may an impact family's QoL, which is extension patients.
